About Nature & Chill

Camping that doesn't ask you to rough it

We started Nature & Chill because most camping advice is written for people counting ounces on a backpacking trail. We drive to our campsites — so we built the site we wished existed for people like us.

Why comfort, not distance

If the car does the carrying, the only real question is whether you’ll actually be comfortable once you get there. That’s the entire premise of this site — every gear pick, every campground listing, every guide is judged against one standard: would this genuinely make a weekend outside better, not just possible.

We’re not against backpacking. We just think it deserves its own advice, written by people who do it — not repurposed into a "best tent" list that assumes you’re counting grams.

How We Operate

Honest, Not Hyped

If something isn’t worth buying or booking, we say so — even when it costs us a commission. Trust is worth more than any single sale.

Real Research

Every listing and gear pick is based on actual reviews, real specs, and — where we can manage it — real use, not repackaged marketing copy.

Updated, Not Static

Properties change hands, gear gets discontinued, prices shift. We revisit our picks instead of letting them go stale.

We read every message. If we got something wrong or you’ve found a spot we should know about, tell us.
