Acadia National Park, established in 1916, spans more than 48,000 acres across Mount Desert Island and welcomes roughly 2.5 to 4 million visitors a year, most between June and September. The park was largely made possible by conservationists like George Dorr and John D. Rockefeller Jr., who personally donated 11,000 acres along with the 51 miles of scenic carriage roads that still wind through the park today.
Woods of Eden sits directly inside the park, giving guests a genuinely unbeatable location — Cadillac Mountain, Sand Beach, and Thunder Hole are all reachable without a long drive.

Pro Tips for Booking
Reserve a Park Loop Road pass ahead of time. Cadillac Mountain requires a separate parking reservation during peak season.
